Pet adoption is a fabulous option if you’re seeking a companion animal. You’ll be able to select from a wide variety of different breeds and ages as well as save a life. However, I fully realize that if you plan to show or breed your animal, it would make more sense to purchase a young animal from a breeder. I purchased my first three animals, two dogs and one cat, from breeders.

I would like to address some of the statements I have found on the web and in proposed ban bills portraying servals and other small wild felines as unpredictable and dangerous creatures. This is a clear case of “what you don’t know you will fear.” First of all, I would like to clarify for everyone that we are talking about tame, hand-raised pets bred in the United States.

The sugar glider, or Petaurus Breviceps, is a very small tree dwelling (arboreal) marsupial. Other marsupials include kangaroos and possums. Sugar gliders are native to Australia, New Guinea, Indonesia and Tasmania. Most marsupials carry their young in a pouch where they grow and develop and sugar gliders are no exception.
