A pet rabbit in a rabbit cage is a lot different from the wild rabbits we see sometimes in the woods or in a documentary of National Geographic. You see, pet rabbits are not wild rabbits caught and eventually domesticated. They are the product of thorough and long breeding process with the aim of developing in them the characteristics that would make them suitable as pets.

Patience is a virtue when dealing with nervous rats. A little understanding goes a long way. If your new rat hasn’t been handled much by the pet shop/breeder or rescue centre you got her from, she will be nervous, but don’t panic, you can still build up a wonderful relationship with your new pet. Let her settle in Give your rat a couple of days to settle into her new home.

Birds lay eggs; that’s what they do. But did you know that this could be deadly for your pet? My beloved bird is a cockatiel. She’s a beautiful bird and a great companion. About twice a year she gets in a mood to respond to her God given natural activity of egg laying. The first time she ever did this it was really cute. The problem was, the egg wasn’t fertilized, so it wouldn’t hatch.
