When choosing the greatest cage for your pet chinchilla, remember that they are larger than a domestic hamster or a guinea pig and require a larger space than those animals. Chinchillas are very active and love nothing more than climbing, running, playing and jumping in their cage, so a tall cage is better to use than a wide cage in order to give them room to do these things.

Clean cage. Your Chinchilla cage must be cleaned often and thoroughly. Chinchillas are prone to infections and disease if the cage is not cleaned and disinfected. We recommend changing the food and water daily with a quick change of some of the bedding as Chinchillas tend to urinate in the same spot. You should also remove its droppings too. Heat. Chinchillas cannot handle high temperatures.
