Un neutered cats are very prolific breeders and can produce three litters a year when left to their own devices. The female cat is usually able to breed from as young as six months old, sometime even younger. The signs of a cat in heat or to use its medical name Oestrus, can be quite subtle and can be easily missed by cat owners.
Kittens are and have always been adorable creatures. Of course, these youngsters are also playful, naughty and mischievous as well. Perhaps that’s the reason why people are attracted to them, as they entertain us with their peculiar antics and curiosity. Cats and dogs have been found to relieve humans of stress and make great companions at home.
Growing up on a farm back home in Portugal I was always exposed to many animals. We had chickens, rabbits, goats, pigs, cats and dogs. Now living in Canada I cannot have as many pets but I can still enjoy having some. I currently have two cats with five new acquisitions, a dog and a fish.

Plant GMOs are usually made with the purpose of solving hunger problems around the world by producing enough food to feed humanity’s exploding population.
Whether our feline pets should be house cats or allowed to wander outside is a subject people usually have a pre-formed opinion on. For some people, cats are allowed free reign, and can go outside night and day. For others, they are kept strictly indoors all the time. Still other pet owners let them out during the day or under supervision, and keep them in at night.
