More and more people want a parrot for their pet. But not everyone fully understands how complicated is to have a parrot in your house, especially if it’s an Amazon parrot. You must have a lot of patience and a lot of spare time to rightly breed and socialize your new pet. And of course, you must have a very good financial condition to properly maintain an African parrot in good conditions.
Parrots are intelligent birds, which can interact well when groomed as pets. They make wonderful companions too. They come in different sizes depending on the species they belong to. Some parrot species are of small size, like the Parakeets and Lovebirds. Many other species like the Macaws and African Grey parrots are medium sized. A Macaw can be of the size of a Pigeon or up to three feet.
There are a lot of people who think that if you want to have a pet bird, it is like buying it and sticking it in a cage. Owning pet birds is not just feeding them when necessary and sometimes changing their paper. You have to be very responsible if you have decided to keep birds as pets.
There is a new “fashion” on the market: parrots as pets! There are more and more popular every day. This popularity is shown by the high interest for parrot’s information on the internet. There is a paradox in this because this seems to be a new phenomenon. Not everybody can afford a parrot.
I don’t think there are a lot of people that don’t like a pet in their home. There are very different kinds of animals that you can bring home and with witch you can spend your life in a very pleasant way. There are, for example people that like small birds as a pet. I must confess that I am one of them.
