Meow! That is the sound you hear when you meet your cat walking down the doorway. It will move with his head and tail held high, looking directly at your eyes and emitting a faint sound summoning you to follow wherever it goes. That is your cat? Right? The fluffy little mass, whose behavior seems quite odd at times, and leaves you baffling with a variety of questions.

Acommon misconception people have about dogs is the tale that dogs wag their tails only when they are happy. Though dogs often do wag their tails when they are happy, they also use a tail wag as an expression of excitement or irritation as well. A dog’s tail can be lightly compared to a human smile; it is a primary form of communication.

When a dog takes on the “misery stance”, we will see the tail between the legs, the eyes looking away from me, and the ears down and close to the head. This usually happens because the dog is unaware of the owner’s wishes and unsure of my intentions. It my pet photography photo sessions this can sometimes be a challenge.
